  10. Holy mackerel - I'm blown away! Just incredible :) Is the white coat just paint or is it some other kinda medium? Looks like you've smoothed out the ribbed base of the bulb?

  11. Thanks so much everyone! Bee, I used an all-surface spray primer to coat the bulb and the base, and then followed that up with a light coat of gesso to give it some tooth. The metal stem is hidden by the iceberg base.

  12. Oh oh oh... wonderful Erik! I love Mr. Shackleton to begin with, but this brings him to a whole new level. The piece of ice he is standing on, I want to pick it up and eat it. It looks so refreshing. haha - I hope we see more of these sculptures. So much fun! :D

  21. Wow! That is so cool Eric! You are full of surprises! Your creativity goes waaaay beyond the confines of pencil, paper and computer screen. I'm sure Mr. Shackleton is a great dancer. He's "light" on his feet!

  22. Oh man, I WANT! Does he light up as well?

  23. The bulb was fried when I got it, so I took all the 'guts' out of it. It's a street lamp bulb, so that thing could've really lit up a room! Felt kind of like a myth buster taking that thing apart...

  30. SUPERB BIRD! what more can I say. It's almost a shame the bulb gets covered up, I like knowing that's underneath, somehow seems to add to his charm and mystery. I loved Mr S in his chaffeured car, really great to see he's back!
