That's one big ole pumpkin!
Can you imagine the Jack-o-latern that's going to be. Or maybe his real name is Peter Pumpkin Eater!

This is fab...You rock Eric!

That has to be the biggest pumpkin ever! wow! I hope those tiny thin strings hold out!
Wonderful and so perfect for this month!

Super! I love your work. I'm imagining myself inside that car. All I can think is, "Gosh darn kids. Do we have to get a pumpkin every year? And I suppose they'll want a tree for Christmas, huh? Hmmph, there goes that $50 paint job!"

Bella Sinclair said...

Hee heee! Oh, Eric, that is grand. And I mean GRAND! How'd they ever hoist it up there? I'm with Edrian on this one -- I'd hate to be driving behind them lest that string breaks. Delightful and fun!

Simply brilliant and fun! I love this 3 ton pumpkin on top of this car!!! What a fabulous idea Eric. Okay, now you have to do a story about this. I want to know where they got it from and what they plan to do with. You bring it each an every week.

this is great! The exaggerated scale makes for a real cute illo :)

What can be said that hasn't been said already? This is very nice - as always. I just found your blog last week and am enjoying your style a great deal.

In my opinion, it´s a great illustration under the title "string" ´cause, instead the big pumpkin, my attention is focused in the thin string.

Absolutely perfect!
Once again you've got me thinking fondly about my childhood.
(Not that we ever had a pumpkin THIS big...)
But everything is grander as a memory!
Great work!

Wow! What a delightful piece...
This family is so proud of their super sized gigantic pumpkin, and it's a great idea to have a street display on top of their car while travelling.
I guess they should put it up in the vegetable museum afterall, it's so cute & unique!

At last, they've captured the Great Pumpkin! I just love the impossible but whimsical, giant pumpking sitting atop that poor little car. The string and the leaves blowing in the wind add such graceful movement.

I heard an interview with a farmer recently who grows pumpkins the size of VW Beetles. He says the danger is you can go to far with the growing and they get so big they can explode, hee hee. Can you imagine?

C.B. Canga said...

ha. i like this. you work is alway fun. keep it up

Wouldn't the car implode on itself?
I want a pumpkin that big, seriously!

That pumpkin is jumbotic! Fantastic illustration.

As per usual your work is spot on, love it! I especially like the fact that the string is so very very thin compared to the pumpkin. If they brake suddenly it will be like cheese wire...there will be pumpkin chunks everywhere! :)

hi eric
Super! I really love your last illustrations... your work it's good, funny... congrat!

Wow, that's some industrial-strength string.

Great, as always, Eric, I like the out-of-proportion whimsy here, and the happiness of the entire scene. Given the amount of joy present in your work, my guess is that life treats you well.

Have you illustrated any children's books? Are you working on any? I feel pretty confident in saying that I would by a book illustrated by you. Love your art!
